Would there be anything wrong with putting my kiln

A spare firebrick bottom between the kiln and kiln stand and a spare lid on top of your kiln will add to the insulation. This will probably save electricity. The most difficult areas to heat are the top and bottom of a ceramic top-loading kiln.
