PARAGON E9: Compact front-loading kiln for everyday creativity

The PARAGON E9 is one of the smallest front-loading kilns in the Paragon family—lightweight, efficient, and incredibly versatile. It plugs into a standard 120V household outlet and fits easily on any workbench or tabletop. Designed for artists who want to create on demand, the E9 is ideal for enameling, silver clay, fused glass jewelry, glaze testing, and more.

With its front-opening door and fast heat-up times, it’s a favorite among teachers, jewelry designers, and experimental artists who value accessibility and flexibility in a small-format kiln.

Why own a kiln like this?

The E9 is perfect for quick firings, short sessions, and projects that require tight thermal control. It’s a great kiln for home studios, classrooms, or workshops where space is limited but ideas are abundant. Because it’s lightweight and compact, you can take it with you to classes or events—and plug it in almost anywhere.

Why choose the PARAGON E9?

Inside the 8.5" wide x 9" deep x 4.5" high chamber, a recessed top-mounted heating element provides even heat distribution. The 2.5" thick firebrick insulation ensures thermal stability and stores heat for slow cooling—ideal for annealing small glass projects without needing to re-fire.

The front door opens with a single hand and features a built-in latch. A small hole is pre-stamped into the stainless steel jacket, allowing users to drill a peephole or vent if needed. No additional stand is required, as the kiln includes its own base with mar-proof rubber feet.

The kiln comes equipped with the SENTINEL Touch Xpress controller, offering intuitive touchscreen navigation, ramp-hold programming with up to 32 segments per schedule, and real-time firing adjustments. It’s the most advanced controller available for a kiln this size—giving you full control over every cycle.

Optional configurations of the PARAGON E9 include a viewing window to monitor your work mid-fire.

Who is this kiln for?

The E9 is designed for glass fusers, enamelists, metal clay artists, and educators. It’s an excellent choice for beginners or as a dedicated small kiln for seasoned professionals. If you need fast turnarounds, tabletop convenience, and digital accuracy, the E9 is a studio essential.
