PARAGON KM24 Pro: Extended Reach. Exceptional Precision.

The PARAGON KM24 Pro is built for bladesmiths who need more room to work without sacrificing the speed, control, and consistency that define the KM Pro Series. With a 24" deep chamber, 3-zone temperature control, and a lightweight ceramic fiber body, the KM24 Pro is ready for long blades, batch runs, and demanding thermal cycles.

Why Have a Heat Treating Furnace in Your Shop?

When you control your own heat treatment, you control your results. The KM24 Pro gives you the ability to fine-tune every detail of your cycle—soaking, ramping, quenching—at the exact temperatures and timings your steel demands. Whether you're crafting large blades, refining thermal recipes, or ramping up production, this kiln gives you the tools to succeed.

Why Choose the PARAGON KM24 Pro?

The KM24 Pro is engineered for longer knives, swords, and multi-blade setups. Its 3-zone temperature system maintains uniform heat throughout the full chamber length, ensuring consistent hardening and tempering across even the largest projects. And with ceramic fiber insulation, you'll get to temperature fast—and recover between cycles even faster.

  • Interior chamber: 5.5" W x 4.3" H x 24" D (0.33 cubic feet)

  • 3-Zone Temperature Control: Three exposed-tip thermocouples placed along the chamber length are managed independently by the SENTINEL controller for precise temperature balancing.

  • Special Limit Thermocouples: 14-gauge, exposed-tip sensors provide fast thermal response and tighter control across all zones.

  • Solid-State Relays: Mounted on aluminum heat sinks for silent, reliable, and long-term performance—with safety relay included.

  • 2.5” Ceramic Fiber Insulation: Lightweight, energy-efficient insulation offers rapid heat-up and cool-down, perfect for high-throughput workflows.

  • Surface-Mounted Elements: “Wavy” wall elements provide broad, even heat distribution and long element life.

  • Guillotine Door: Spring-assisted vertical door lifts up and away, keeping the hot face safely distanced and requiring no side clearance.

  • Steel case with integrated stand: Rigid, durable, and designed to handle the realities of a busy workshop.

Who is This Furnace For?

The KM24 Pro is ideal for:

  • Bladesmiths heat treating long blades, short swords, or multiple knives at once

  • Makers who require absolute uniformity in thermal cycles

  • Knife shops scaling up to higher volumes and larger projects

  • Professionals, schools, and labs demanding fast performance and repeatable results

Optional Upgrades

  • Gas Injection Flow Meter: Inject inert gas (argon or nitrogen) to reduce scaling and oxidation. Available as a kit or pre-installed.

  • Add a solenoid valve: Automates gas delivery—flows only during specified program segments.

  • Knifemaking Heat Treating Kit: Includes firebrick supports, knife holders, hot gloves, and a 31" fork for safe and organized blade handling.

Built with Pride in Mesquite, Texas

The PARAGON KM24 Pro is handcrafted in Mesquite, Texas by professionals who understand what modern bladesmiths need: control, speed, and room to grow. When your projects demand more space and more precision, this kiln delivers—cycle after cycle.

Get a Gas Injection Flow Meter (GIFM) and Solenoid Kit

Achieving a clean, scale-free blade finish during heat treatment isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about quality, consistency, and minimizing post-processing time. The Gas Injection Flow Meter (GIFM) is a trusted tool among professional bladesmiths and heat treaters for precisely that reason.

Minimize Scale, Maximize Results

During high-temperature heat treating, oxygen in the kiln chamber reacts with the steel surface, producing unwanted oxidation scale. Traditionally, this has been mitigated using stainless steel foil wrap—a solution that works, but comes with added cost, time, and waste.

With the GIFM installed, you can introduce an inert gas like argon or nitrogen directly into the firing chamber. This displaces oxygen and significantly reduces oxidation, helping you:

  • Eliminate or reduce the need for stainless foil

  • Retain sharper blade edges and crisper grind lines

  • Improve consistency in finish and minimize cleanup

  • Create a cleaner working environment

Precise Control and Automation with the Optional Solenoid Kit
Take control even further with the Solenoid Valve Kit, which works in tandem with the GIFM. This upgrade lets you:
  • Automate gas flow by turning it on/off at specific stages of the firing process (per segment)

  • Ensure gas is flowing only when needed—saving resources and increasing safety

  • Achieve repeatable, precision-controlled atmospheres in your heat treating cycles

Perfect for advanced users and production settings, this upgrade transforms your kiln into a highly efficient and customizable heat treating system.

Trusted by Professionals

This system has been field-proven by bladesmiths, metalworkers, and heat treatment professionals who demand the best finish and tightest process control.

Whether you’re eliminating scale on high-carbon steel or refining your results with stainless alloys, the GIFM with optional solenoid valve gives you an edge—literally and figuratively.
