Balanced Heating from Lid and All Four Walls

• The GL64ATDS features heating elements in the lid and all four sidewalls, ensuring consistent, even heating across every corner of the firing chamber.

• Paragon’s power ratio technology lets you adjust how much heat is delivered from the top vs. the sides in 10% increments. You can dial in 100% top heat, split it 50/50, or apply any combination in between to fine-tune your results.

• This control is ideal for complex slumping, symmetrical sagging, large molds, or improving uniformity in fused panels.

Effortless Lid Operation with LiteLid System

• The GL64ATDS lid is supported by three LiteLid spring-assisted counter-balance assemblies, allowing one person to lift and close the massive lid safely and easily.

• Unlike pulley systems, the LiteLid is fully self-contained and eliminates the need for ceiling mounts.

• The floating truss design helps absorb thermal expansion and reduces wear between the lid and firebrick rim.

• Inside, the lid is insulated with 1 inch of ceramic fiber and 3 inches of ceramic fiberboard, with heating elements held in pinless grooves for a cleaner build and easier maintenance.

• 2.5-inch thick insulating firebrick lines the chamber walls and base, providing excellent heat retention and long cooldowns for annealing.

• A fully welded 2-inch tubular steel frame reinforces the kiln structure and provides reliable support for the large firing chamber.

• Nickel-plated copper wiring, insulated with high-temp glass braid, ensures safety and electrical durability.

• Double heat shielding and a ventilated switch box maintain cool temperatures around sensitive electronics, even during repeated high-heat cycles.
